Fridays fun game

I had to leave my house the other mornig at 4:15 am to go to work!
4:15 am? Thats the bloody middle of the night!
I was really tired and irritable when I got in the car but before I had even reached the end of the street my mood was completely altered and repaired by the playing of this song on the radio:

Honestly, it got pumped right up full and I was singing along with a huge smile on my face as I bombed through the empty streets.
Such an upbeat, happy sounding, wee fun number and it made me think, there must be thousands of random songs like this that make you feel great! Proper mood altering classics.
So thats todays game.
Get posting a link to youtube or spotify or simply post the name and artist of a random song that makes you feel good and tell us why.
We will listen to each one and return comment.

Sounds shit on paper I know but I've got a feelin'.....
Woooo hoooo,
Thats this games gonna be a good game,
That this games gonna be a good, good game.

OK my music loving padawans lets play!

Other things on this list are Basil Brush (original version not the basterdised new yin) and folk with glasses falling over and standing up with their specs skewhiff on their face.

Well done people.
I have listened to your choices and suggest you all do the same.

Dr Love - Good song. Id forgotten all about them. I quite liked this track too as a wee guy.
Im not sure its the happiest song ever as its subject matter isnt the cheeriest however if it gets you up it counts and therefore I will give you that one.

Mr Portugal - You made me laff out loud! Well done fella. Great choice. The sun came out when this was on. You never really get to hear the whole thing ever and its fucking brilliant towards the end. Go'n yersel big Den!

Pmackc - DairyLea Roth is a fucking legend!
Looks like you in 3rd year.
Fucking love the uniquie Van Halen guitar sound and you know how I love my guitar sounds! Also the break down in the middle after the solo is awesome and is so hot I think I would let Mr Roth have his way with me after it!

Cheers DC.

Under rated tune in my opinion.

I used to have it as my alarm in the morning and wake up everyday with a big smile on my face. Used to drive my bird spare so I would grab her arms and make her dance around the room with me.

Our relationship dissolved shorty after this. haha

Ok not a happy tune I grant you. But nearly crashed the car when I last heard it on the radio.

Try Again

John Farnham - You're The Voice

Bagpipe solos, remember them?

I remember I was going through Glasgow green last year on my bike and this came on my ipod, Was a beautiful Summers day, Remember just going like that, "This is living"!

Darth Carlsberg said...

Duely heard and:

Dr Love - That is the most 80s thing ever. It reminds me of a quiet day at Radio Clyde. Loving the deep and profound lyrics and of course loving the bagpipe solo all over again.

Mick - Nice wee tune fella. Think I can vaguely remember it from the movie although yer 'cult' type movie just wouldnt be cool without being riddled with that quirky american indie sound.

Im thoroughly enjoying this game.
Good work people. Keep em coming and remember, we can all play with each other. ; )

Heres one for you
My dad liked these guys when I was a wee fella and I always remember this song being one of my favourites.
Its had a recent resurgeance in popularity too and its not by chance.

Furphuxache fella. Youve got some issues I can tell you.

Ban eyeliner - Irember the suger ray song but Im thinking you clearly like the pretty boys from the video.
And some of there beautiful clothes.

As for Madness, that reminds me of school discos.

In short, you have not got a leg to stand on when it comes to slating others choices ; )

Itsyerda - Aye! very good.

OH MY GOD!!!!
W.U.N. - It gets fucking WORSE!!!
TTF does not even merit a response.

Dr Love - I dont get cheap trick.
I think your mocking the game now.
And Wayupnorth, you may have found the only Kiss song in the world that I hate.

Bobbybell - The Donnas?

Look people did anyone actually read the fucking rules before they played?

Gav - I will give youyour eclectic wee mix apart from the first and third one.
(Oh alright maybe the first one!)

Right folks. Are we gonna do this right or wot? Im talking great we happy timeless classics that we all love by your big time classic artists!

GAV IS THE WINNER!
GAV IS THE WINNER!
One vision opens the Queen live at Wembley DVD I got my dad for his Christmas and it makes me cry when it comes on! I love Freddie!
"Fried Chicken!"

W.U.N.- HA! Dont be confused. It was used in jest. Nice song choice.
Weird video though. Like flight of the conchords on a really bad trip.

Dr Love - I never really got into the Who. I guess if it makes you feel happy it counts.
Crazy Horses is a fucking nonsense.
A great song performed by entirely the wrong band.

Right people. Now we are motoring!!
Heres one from the deepest musician I ever saw live.
He blew me away with this and I can often be found cycling to it now:

***URGENT RULE CHANGE NOTICE***
That was fun but now the organic nature of the game means it can change shape and develop as we go along and now the rules are
'music memories!'
Tell us the tunes you listened to during your formative years at school.
What was some of the random music that shaped you at high school.
I think this could be quite interesting and make us realise that the groundbreaking stuff were were advocating was ultimately shite.
I will start us off -

Good work son.
